Aquatarium Animal Experiences and Enrichments

Please note: your tour will include all of the facility’s exhibits. The specific times below indicate which animal enrichment is happening and when.

10:00 a.m.

On the Creation Exhibit Experience guests watch our Animal Husbandry team feed our saltwater invertebrates.  Please don’t be shy to ask questions!  They love sharing about these animals with our guests.

 

11:00 a.m.

On this tour, you will see our Animal Husbandry team go through a training session with Justin Beaver in his corner habitat.  He can’t wait to see you!

 

 11:30 a.m.

Every day at 11:30 a.m. our two river otters have a chance to show off their skills.  Your tour guide will share the importance of these training sessions and of course all the fun facts about North American River Otters.  They get so playful after their snacks.

 

12:00 p.m.

Come visit our Herpetology Hall and get better acquainted with our reptiles and amphibians.  Our Animal Husbandry team will be there with animals in hand to share with our guests.

 

1:15 p.m.

Watch from the lighthouse theatre our amazing freshwater fish as they get fed.  Our Animal Husbandry team will be there to answer all your fishy questions.

 

2:00 p.m.

On this tour, you will see our Animal Husbandry team go through a training session with Justin Beaver in his corner habitat.  He sure loves his carrots!

 

 2:50 p.m.

This otter experience will be a fun one with a treat and a toy.  Watch the otters play while you learn as much as you can from your knowledgeable tour guide.

 

3:05 p.m.

You are in for a treat with this tour.  You will get to experience our Animal Husbandry team at the Boathouse exhibit.  They will either be feeding the amazing Longnose Gar or you can watch them clean in the tank.  It is a lot of fun!

 

3:30 p.m.

In the Sir Robert Peel lies a hidden gem of an aquarium.  On this tour, you will get the chance to see the Dive Aquarium feeding, in which our majestic 4′ Eels get fed and swim around.  The eels mixed in with thousands of fish schooling is a sight to see.

 

4:30 p.m.

Come see Justin up close while the Animal Husbandry Team walks him from his corner habitat to his den.  This is a unique opportunity to cheer on Justin as he walks on by!
