The Aquatarium is seeking high energy-outgoing individuals who enjoy working with people and groups of children and/or adults. The focus of this position will be to aid in facilitating learning on our exhibit floor through guest interactions as well as supporting Program Facilitators in their daily tasks. Share your knowledge and passion about the 1000 Islands & St. Lawrence Region with visitors and assist at events and education programs. Aquatarium Volunteer Responsibilities:
● Speaking with Aquatarium visitors and providing valuable and educational information
about our experiences to engage and inspire curiosity about our diverse region
● Helping to maintain a clean and organized facility
● Working as a team member with fellow staff and volunteers
● Assisting with special events

● Good verbal communication skills
● Experience working with children or adults in a group setting

Our volunteer program is open to all! The Aquatarium will take all reasonable steps to ensure accommodation in accordance with provincial legislation for any volunteers with temporary or permanent disabilities. The program coordinator will work closely with volunteers to explore solutions for reasonable accommodation when a volunteer faces a barrier to access or participation as a result of a disability.

Availability:

If the mission of the Aquatarium resonates with you please complete the application form and a member of our team will reach out to get you started.
Applicants under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian approve their application as well as future documentation.
Additional forms will be required to be completed after your application is reviewed. Your first shift with us will contain a 2 hour orientation and training session.
