The Aquatarium offers interactive discovery-based learning, making it the perfect destination for school field trips!

The Aquatarium is full of activities for young people of all ages. Explore the unique heritage and environment of the 1000 Islands region at the hands-on exhibits in our discovery-based learning centre. The educational experiences and activities offered at the Aquatarium are based on Ontario’s provincial curriculum standards.

Schedule a program in our lab, attend a presentation at our Magic Planet or Planetarium, and watch an educational film about this region’s history and culture in our theatre. Visiting students are free to explore the discovery centre at their own pace and learn about the 1000 Islands region in our many interactive exhibits. Why not finish off your visit by challenging your class to complete our Ropes Course and AquaDrop?

We offer K-12 programs linked to the Ontario Curricula in History, Geography, Social Studies, Art, Science and Technology. We can tailor activities to suit your students’ current curriculum objectives, and we have worksheets for you to print to direct your students to discover this amazing and unique region during their field trip, or as a follow-up in class.

Visit the Aquatarium at Tall Ships Landing, and provide your students with an amazing opportunity to experience the 1000 Islands in a brand new way!
